PARKS IN Century city

Places to See & Things to do

1. Ratanga Park

The new Ratanga Park and waterbody is the most recent and significant addition to the Century City urban landscape and a substantial component of the redevelopment of the Ratanga Junction Theme Park site. This natural public open space is where you can get some fresh air and enjoy the company of friends and family, whilst enjoying a variety of land and water-based outdoor activities in a beautifully landscaped, clean, and safe environment.

The park is situated on the banks of the Century City canals, where you can have a relaxing picnic with friends, colleagues, or the family, whilst overlooking the water body, doing some birding or just taking in the magnificent views of Table Mountain.

The area directly adjacent to the park, boasts no less than 10 restaurants and coffee shops. This new vibrant urban park forms part of the network of interconnected smart green open spaces in the well-maintained Century City precinct.

3. Manhattan Park

Manhattan Park is a 3500m2 established green open space, situated next to the popular Manhattan Bootleggers coffee shop surrounded by Manhattan residential and some commercial properties.

It is a local favorite for relaxing on the lawned berms or for parents to have a nice cup of coffee whilst the kids play in the kid’s playpark area. The area is mostly used for informal passive leisure or just strolling along to the coffee shop, and adds to a general relaxed vibe around this area of the precinct.
