Clear, well-maintained signage plays an important role in keeping our precinct accessible, safe, and easy to navigate — whether you’re a resident, visitor, or business operating within Century City.
“We’re pleased to share that the refurbishment of our street name signage across the precinct has recently been completed. In total, there are 44 street name signs throughout Century City, each contributing to the clear wayfinding and neat visual identity that our precinct is known for.” says Richard Mandulo, Transport and Projects Manager for Century City Property Owners’ Association (CCPOA).
As part of this project, 37 existing signs were refurbished, restoring their visibility and condition after years of exposure to the elements. In addition, 7 signs were newly manufactured and installed, replacing those that had been damaged by motorists.
An important design detail in the signage system is the colour-coding of each street sign. Each colour corresponds to one of Century City’s eight precinct zones, helping visitors and service providers orient themselves quickly and move easily between areas. The zones are:
Grand Moorings, Bridgeways, Century Gate, Century View, Canal Walk, Grand Central, The Estuary, and Waterford.
This system not only enhances navigation but also strengthens the visual identity of each zone, reflecting the diversity of spaces and functions that make up the Century City precinct.
The result is a cohesive, refreshed network of signage that not only helps people find their way, but also enhances the overall look and feel of our public spaces.
At Century City, attention to detail matters, from landscaping and lighting to signage and safety. Every upgrade, big or small, reflects our ongoing commitment to maintaining a world-class environment for all who live, work, and visit here.
