We’re excited to announce that Century City has upgraded its response vehicles! Our fleet has transitioned from Ford Ranger bakkies to Toyota Hilux vehicles, with our supervisor vehicle now being a Toyota Starlet, all selected to ensure smoother operations, greater reliability, and improved safety across the precinct.

“The new Toyota Hilux vehicles have proven to be more reliable, spacious, and better suited to our needs at Century City,” says Kassiem Daniels, Safety & Security Manager for the Century City Property Owners’ Association (CCPOA). “We’ve also designed a custom canopy to store all the essential equipment our venue hosts use to respond to fires, medical emergencies, and clamping needs.”

“The introduction of these vehicles is part of our continued commitment to efficiency, safety, and preparedness.’ adds Kassiem. “Each patrol vehicle plays a vital role in our daily operations: from attending to emergencies to keeping the precinct’s public spaces, canals, and wetlands secure.”

But that’s not all. Along with the new vehicles, we’ve also added dash cameras and in-cabin cameras to every response vehicle. These cameras form part of our ongoing drive for transparency and accountability in all patrol operations.

The dash cameras face forward to record road and driving conditions, while cabin cameras monitor interactions and personnel conduct. The footage can be reviewed when needed, whether to assist with incident investigations, support legal or disciplinary processes, or help with training and performance evaluations.
