- “The Promoter” of this competition is the Century City Property Owners’ Association.
- The competition will run from June to September 2024.
- The competition is open to Century City Residential Body Corporates / Homeowners Associations only (regrettably notindividual homeowners).
- Only residential entrance gardens clearly visible from adjacent public areas, such as from public roads and/or pathways, will be considered.
- Participants can enter one of the two categories, for either:
- Gardens larger than 100m2 or
- Gardens smaller than 100m2 in size.
- To enter the competition, all participants must fill in the entry form via the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3VTQR6Gby no later than 31 July 2024.
- Incomplete entries or omissions may lead to disqualification.
- Entrants will have until 30 September 2024 to complete their garden installations and revamps for the selected gardens, before final evaluation takes place.
- The Promoter’s representative will be in contact to arrange for a suitable time between 1 to 11 October 2024 to visit the gardens and conduct the evaluation. Judging will not exceed 60 minutes per site.
- The judging panel will consist of representatives of the Century City Property Owners Association (CCPOA), the South African Landscapers Institute (SALI) and other partners.
- Judging will be done based on a set of criteria in line with the South African Landscaping Institute (SALI) standards.
- Winners will be announced around Garden Day SA, which takes place on the 20thof October 2024, via phone and email. The promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Participants stand the chance to win the following prize per category:
- Category 1 (gardens larger than 100m2): 1st prize will receive R20 000 cash, 2nd prize is R10 000 cash and 3rd prize is R5 000 cash.
- Category 2 (gardens smaller than 100m2): 1st prize will receive R10 000 cash, 2nd prize is R5 000 cash and 3rd prize is R2 500 cash.
- The overall category winners will each also receive a Trophy.
- All participants will receive participation certificates, which are endorsed by the Promoter and competition partners.
- The Promoters reserve the right to cancel, modify, or amend the Competition at any time, if deemed necessary, in their own opinion or if circumstances arise outside of their control.
- Participants understand and agree that to qualify for the Competition, the Promoter will need to collect and use personal information to communicate with the participant. This information, once the participants have opted in, will be used by only the Promoter and will not be sold or given to any third party.
- By entering this competition, you are consenting for the Promoter to communicate with you directly via WhatsApp, phone, or email.
- By entering this competition, you verify that you are not aware of any reason legally prohibiting you from entering this competition and if the competition requires the submission of photographs, artwork, or images of people, or of anything else that requires consent or copyright, that you have the necessary consent and authority to do so. Any entrant who contravenes these rules may be disqualified from the competition.
