Meet our new COO, Gordon Ralph! Gordon has been an integral part of Century City since 1998. He worked at Sun International at Sun City prior to relocating to Century City.

Gordon has qualifications in Facilities Management (UFS) and Horticulture (UNISA). He is an avid mountain biker; runner and he loves partaking in water sport in the ocean.

“As COO of CCPOA, my focus is on ensuring that Century City remains a world-class, sustainable, and efficiently managed urban environment.” says Gordon. “This means constantly evolving, finding smarter ways to operate, and working closely with our community to maintain the exceptional standard people have come to expect.”

“A big part of my role is streamlining operations to enhance service delivery and infrastructure management. We’re always looking at how we can improve efficiencies, whether it’s through refining internal processes, adopting new technologies, or strengthening engagement with our stakeholders. We ensure that everything runs smoothly, and that Century City continues to thrive.”

Technology and innovation play a crucial role in achieving this goal and the CCPOA team embraces cutting-edge solutions to improve efficiency, from smart infrastructure to digital tools that help the precinct stay ahead of the curve.

“Sustainability is another key priority.” continues Gordon. “Managing an urban environment comes with the responsibility of ensuring responsible water and energy usage, enhancing our green spaces, and continuing to roll out environmental initiatives that support long-term sustainability. The world is shifting towards greener cities, and we are committed to making sure Century City is part of that movement.”

“Of course, none of this would be possible without strong collaboration. Whether it’s with businesses, residents, or the City of Cape Town, our partnerships are essential in keeping Century City well-maintained and running efficiently. Open communication and a shared vision allow us to respond to challenges quickly and effectively.”

Another focus area is proactive maintenance. Infrastructure is one of Century City’s greatest assets and keeping it in top condition requires careful planning. Rather than waiting for issues to arise, the team take a forward-thinking approach to maintenance, minimising disruptions and ensuring our facilities remain in excellent shape for the future.

“Ultimately, my goal is to help shape a seamless, sustainable, and innovative Century City – a place where businesses can thrive, residents can enjoy a high quality of life, and visitors are met with an exceptional urban experience. There’s always more to do, but with a strong team and a committed community, the future of Century City looks brighter than ever.”
