Did you know that Century City is regarded as one of the most preferred residential areas for dog owners?
Let’s look at all the places where your pooch is welcome. (Kindly note that all areas and events where dogs are allowed are subject to terms and conditions.)
Explore the great outdoors
Century City offers an array of dog-friendly parks, such as the Ratanga- and Manhattan Parks. In addition, an off-leash area was introduced in Central Park.
We offer a 5km pedestrian pathway starting at Ratanga Park, leading you through the precinct and on the outside of the Intaka Island nature reserve.
However, dogs are not allowed on the reserve itself, as it provides a haven for birds and creates a pet-free zone where nature lovers can enjoy the unobstructed sounds and sights of the wild.
Have a bite to eat
Some restaurants like Bootlegger Coffee Company and Bricklane Eatery welcome pooches and even offer a dog-friendly menu or water bowl for your best friend.
Go for a ride
Take your pooch on a tram ride! On the Century City Tramway, you can take your dog on a ride along the canal from Ratanga Park and Central Park.
Go for a run
Your weekly exercise in the Century City parkrun can also include your dog! The parkrun starts at 8:00 every Saturday morning from Ratanga Park.
Go to the movies
Century City was the first Galileo Open Air Cinema event to host a dog-friendly movie evening at Central Park, which was a huge success. Look out for more Galileo evenings here.
Attend our markets
Dogs are welcome at our Natural Goods Market which takes place in Central Park every Sunday of the month in the summer months.
To respect our fellow Century City community members, with or without dogs, all dog owners are required to always have their dogs on a leash when out and about on our pathways, parks, and other public spaces.
To assist you in keeping our beautiful precinct free of little accidents, we have provided several pooh bag stations and nearby bins for your convenience. We ask all dog owners to please be considerate of our community and ensure that you are responsible in this regard.
