The Rotary Club of Century City (RCCCCT) was chartered on the 18th of July 2018. Our club is proud to share our birthday with the Great Nelson Mandela. This year our club celebrated Mandela Day by partnering with Ladles of Love to help them break the world record of 107 418 sandwiches made in an hour.  This record was smashed with 304 583 sandwiches made. The generous donation of 100 loaves of bread and 150kg of jam from Northlink College contributed over and above to our contribution in the making of these sandwiches for this Mandela Day project. These were redistributed on the same day to our fellow people of the Cape.

Being People of Action, we partnered with Pam Golding Properties in association with Miltons Matsemela Conveyances in an appeal over several weeks for our community to donate blankets, non-perishables, household appliances and winter woollies in support of the residents at Dunoon informal settlement affected by recent flooding. Our club collected and sorted these donations and distributed to very grateful folk in celebration of Mandela Day.

We are a young diverse group of people who remain open minded to new learnings. The future is looking a little undecided at the moment, all thanks to the Covid19 Lockdown! But that hasn't held back our club, we've just gone digital, and zoom meeting are our new normal! We are People of Action and by partnering with corporates and organisations we can do so much more together.

If anyone would like to support our club or learn more about what we do, consider attending our Member Interest evening on Tuesday 18th August 2020 at 18h30 via Zoom. Email our secretary Anthony antlaw89@gmail.com or contact our membership director vcrouser@gmail.com for more details to attend.
