Rotary International is finally arriving at Century City and the ambition is to have a fully functional club within the first 6 months of 2018. A spokesperson for Rotary said that Century City presents many unique opportunities for a new Club. With many business leaders and professionals that work in the area, as well as the diverse range of residents in the area, members of Century City Rotary Club could combine to address the many challenges faced in our area and those that surround us.

He explained that Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbours, friends, community leaders, and problem solvers who come together to make a positive, lasting change in communities. For more than 110 years, the guiding principles of the organisation have been service above self, fellowship, diversity, integrity and leadership.

Solving real problems takes commitment and vision and Rotary members use their passion, energy and intelligence, to address the challenges faced within local communities. Each Club determines its own projects that they believe will make a sustainable difference in their area. Club projects could include literacy, peace, water, youth, health, education and economic upliftment initiatives.

It will be up to the members of the Rotary Club of Century City to select a worthy project and with dedicated individuals, working together, the impact in our area will be great.
