Grand Moorings precinct in Century City nearing completion

A new mixed-use development is being built on the last remaining site in the Grand Moorings precinct of Century City by Rabie Property Group.

Bordered by Century Way and Esplanade Road, Manhattan Corner will comprise a mix of residential apartments and sectional title offices in two attractive buildings of varying heights providing a staggered skyline.

Century City runner wins Sanlam 12km Peace Trail

Century City runner Tanya Posthumus-Fox won the prestigious Sanlam Cape Town Peace 12km Trail over the weekend with a time of 01:11:50.

In second place was Stella Kuhn von Burgsdorff with a time of 01:12:18 and Megan North in third place with a time of 01:17:25.

Ratanga to be redeveloped into vibrant mixed-use precinct

Ratanga Junction theme park, which is to close on 1 May 2018, is to be redeveloped into a vibrant new mixed-use development.

While planning is still at an embryonic stage, it is envisaged the redevelopment will embrace the existing canals, island and public open space and will include residential apartments, offices, hotels, restaurants and convenience retail.

Free Wifi Service is now being extended!

A free Wifi service, Let’s Connect, is being rolled out to additional hotspots throughout Century City.

This follows a successful pilot project which has been run in Century Square since January this year.

Century City launches new state -of- the- art Security Operations Centre

Century City has launched a new state-of the art Security Operations Centre (SOC) to keep it at the forefront of crime prevention and combatting initiatives in the Western Cape.

Chris Blackshaw, CEO of the Century City Property Owners’ Association, the non-profit company responsible for the day to day operations of the precinct, said their strategy to date of combining the use of cutting-edge technology with highly visible policing and rapid emergency response had proven to be very successful in curbing crime at Century City.

Rabie, Ratanga & CCPOA joined forces for Mandela Day

to feed the more than 1000 learners and staff at Sinenjongo High School in Joe Slovo Park this week in a belated celebration for Mandela Day.

Armed with yellow gloves and black bags, teams of learners earlier had headed out into the township to do their 67 minutes for Mandela by picking up litter in the township. Hundreds of bags of garbage were then packed onto CCPOA trucks and taken to the municipal dump

Century City now has a total of 17 green rated buildings. These include 13 office buildings, one banking outlet in Canal Walk and a mixed use development comprising six buildings, Century City Square, where three of the green rated office buildings are located.

Century City Launches an Art Trail for the public

Century City has launched an Arts Trail, initially comprising 24 exhibits, in and around the 250 hectare precinct.

Most of the exhibits are outdoors and range from the Impromptu Pavilion in Century City Square celebrating South Africa’s diversity and its 11 official languages to sculptures by Right Mukore to the Station Walkway and its graffiti artwork welcoming pedestrians from the Century City Station.
